Index Digital Systems (IDS) is a Kenyan digital media and technology company. We build and operate information platforms designed to serve everyday Kenyan needs — and we hold all of them to a single, published standard of accuracy and transparency.
We started IDS on a simple observation: much of the information Kenyans need daily is scattered, hard to verify, or buried in clutter. Our work is to gather it, build clean tools and original analysis around it, and — where we summarise other reporting — present the clearest, best-sourced version available.
An index organizes information so people can find what matters, fast. That's our job — to index Kenyan life and make it genuinely usable.

We combine original reporting and analysis with AI-assisted writing and responsibly-sourced summaries — all with named authors, clear sourcing and an open corrections process. Every published piece is owned by a named editor.
