How We Use AI & Sources
We're open about how our content is made. Here's the short version.
How our content is produced
Original work
Our tools and calculators, and our stock and currency data analysis, are original and built in-house. We also publish original reporting and analysis written by named members of our team.
AI-assisted writing
We use AI to help research and draft some content. Every piece is reviewed and approved by a named human editor accountable for its accuracy. We don't publish unreviewed, auto-generated content.
Summaries of multiple sources
For news, we gather related coverage from several outlets and produce a clear summary of the grouped reporting, written in our own words. These summaries are labelled, and every source is credited and linked so you can read the originals.
What we don't do
We don't republish other publishers' articles word-for-word, and we don't invent personal experiences or attach them to a byline.
Sources
Where we rely on data, we name the source — for example the Central Bank of Kenya, the Nairobi Securities Exchange, and licensed mobile-money operators — and show when it was last updated.
